On January 2, 2026, from 6am to 7pm, ITS will perform significant work on our data center. This essential work will result in an outage of the campus network in many buildings and an outage of many of our applications/systems.

Network and Phone Outage

During the maintenance, the network across campus will experience outages. Many buildings across campus, including most residence buildings and some academic and administrative buildings, will not have network or internet connectivity. The network will continue to work in the following buildings (not a full list):

  • Academic Commons (AC)
  • University Center (UC)
  • Center for the Media Arts, Computers, and Design (CMACD)
  • Alumni and Student Engagement Center (ASEC)

Teams’ phones in buildings with no network connectivity will not be operational; however, the Teams client on your cell phone or network-connected laptop will still be able to receive and make calls. Additionally, voicemail will continue to work through the outage.
