The scheduled maintenance is now underway. We'll keep you updated on our progress.
July 8–10: In coordination with National Grid and Clark University's electrical contractors, limited and targeted electrical outages throughout these days may occur as needed to support testing and commissioning of the newly installed campus switchgear. Our goal remains to minimize both the frequency and duration of any outages during this period.
As a reminder, National Grid retains final authority over switching schedules and crew deployment. While we do not currently anticipate any changes to the schedule, outage dates and durations remain subject to adjustment due to weather conditions, emergency utility work, or other unforeseen circumstances. Thank you for your continued flexibility, patience, and support as we complete this important infrastructure improvement project.
The following buildings on the Main Campus will be affected: 151 Woodland, Admissions House, Atwood Hall, Bassett Admissions Center, Blackstone Hall, Bullock Hall, Carlson Hall, Dana Hall, Dodd Hall, Estabrook Hall, Geography Building, Goddard Library, Hughes Hall, Jefferson Academic Center, Johnson Sanford Center, Jonas Clark Hall, Kneller Athletic Center, Lasry Center for Bioscience, Math-Physics building, Maywood Hall, Sackler Sciences Center, Michelson Theater, and Wright Hall
Power will remain in these buildings: Higgins University Center, the Center for Media, Arts, Computing, and Design, the Shaich Family Alumni and Student Engagement Center, Dolan Field House, Traina Center, and all other perimeter properties.

Preparation Tips:
Save your work frequently. Save your work often throughout the day, especially during the planned outage periods. Regularly saving files will help prevent data loss in the event of unexpected interruptions.
To minimize the risk to technology, ITS recommends that, when possible, equipment be powered down prior to the planned outage and powered back up after Facilities Management has notified the campus that power is fully restored. Those who rely on remotely accessing on-campus desktops may need to physically power on these devices following the outage. Building network services may remain functional for approximately 15 minutes after a building loses power.
Telecommunication services will be impacted. Physical telephones will remain functional for approximately 15 minutes after a building loses power. Emergency callboxes will remain fully functional during the loss of power. The Teams app on Internet-connected computers or cell phones will remain fully functional. If you experience any issues with your technology or telecommunications following the outage, please contact the ITS Help Desk at 508-793-7745 or helpdesk@clarku.edu.
Card access is expected to be functional during the outage. If you experience a card reader without any lights illuminated, please contact Facilities.
Best regards, Facilities Management
